Engaged communities—with families at the center—are vital to improving student and school outcomes. The KY Collaborative for Families and Schools was created to build and sustain engagement support and resources for Kentucky families, schools and communities in this critical work.

SUPPORT OUR WORK

  • Groundswell Champions and Sub-Committees: Join the Groundswell Initiative for excellent education and you will receive a weekly newsletter about current issues in the KY public education system. If you note your interest in Family Engagement you will also receive family engagement updates, learning opportunities and invitations for annual conferences.
  • Advisory Council Member: Apply to serve on the Advisory Council which helps guide and inform the work on a statewide level. The Council meets in person, and virtually with various sub-committee work by email and phone as needed. Email- brooke.gill@prichardcommittee.org
  • Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership (CIPL): Increase your parent leadership skills by attending events, trainings and expanding your parent support system. CIPL offers one-day workshops, webinars, and the CIPL Fellowship which is a deeper-dive, small group learning experience.

  • Family Engagement Regional Centers: Connect with a Regional Family Engagement Center- Children, Inc. serving Northern Kentucky, National Center for Families Learning serving Louisville Area, and Partners for Education, serving Eastern Kentucky.
